A Note from Our President
Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you have found it helpful and if you are seeking support and connection, that you attend one of the support groups around the state (check out our calendar for a listing of times and locations of groups that meet around Iowa).
PITCH was formed in 2006 with the goal of providing emotional, educational and social support for Iowans living with HIV. We have come a long way since that meeting and plan to continue to grow and expand in the years to come.
Since 2006, we've grown to over 140 members. Our members include people living with HIV as well as community members, friends, and family of a person living with HIV (PITCH Hitters). We are an active, supportive group that welcomes all new members with kindness, care, and compassion.
PITCH members have shared empowerment stories, created stigma puzzle pieces and living quilt panels that are shared in our communities as educational resources. These creative expressions have been shared at PRIDE, colleges, fundraising events, Meet & Greets and Wellness Summits.
I am proud to work with so many great people who have dedicated their time and talent to this organization and helped us to move our goals forward. We continue to strive to make a greater impact on the communities in which we live and work.
I am honored to have the privilege of serving as the PITCH Board President!
